It is the responsibility of all parents to have up to date medical records on file with our school nurse. This is a legal responsibility mandated by the Kuwait Ministry of Health. Full information on what must be provided is given to new families at time of registration.
Medical Concerns – Day to Day
Parents are asked to provide the necessary documentation to excuse a student from participating in particular activities over an extended period. If a child is unable on a particular day to take part in expected school curriculum, the student must obtain the necessary exemption from the school nurse.
Medical Concerns – Dusty/Inclement Weather Days
There are three levels each day; green, yellow, and red.
- GREEN Days – All students can be outside for PE, lunch, and recess
- YELLOW Days – Students who have been identified as having asthma (regardless of severity) stay inside for lunch, recess, and PE
- RED Days – Elementary students remain inside for PE, lunch, and recess.
The level of day is determined by the school clinic each morning and is subject to change throughout the school day.
